The Game by Neil Strauss...is it effective?

Hi,

I came across a book "The Game" by Neil Strauss. I've heard that its like a bible among Pick-up artists and the like, but I am quite skeptical about it. Have any of you guys gone through it? Is it any good?

it doesnt teach much. it tell a story about style life and they have some tips but not a lot

I wouldn't call it the bible for pickup or anything; it does have some tips but don't read it expecting a guide to pickup.

However, it's a great book and a perfect introduction to pickup, it's what got me into it quite a few years ago.

Neil Strauss also wrote a book called "Rules of the Game", which is like complementary to "The Game". What about this one?

It will give you an idea about what the game is.. Good place to start if you want to get into pickup. Understand the theory and don't memorized canned openers and routines.
