Yeh don't say this. Too long to get to the neg and has a qualifier.

The opener you used is not really good to be honest and has not set you up with a question thus qualifing yourself. Infact that opener sucked. Sorry.

I would personally ignore that text, give it minimum of 2 weeks and and start over with something simple such as 'Hey, hows things?'

This puts the spotlight on her, makes her answer a question thus giving up information for you to work with. Hard to say really because you haven't given much information eg. how long you've known her, how you know her etc. which are all important parts
