I agree with you man, we just differ about what we're describing as "best dancers".
You'll notice my repeated emphasis on Groove. If you saw someone grooving in a club you would not look at him and say "omg amazing dancer" because that guy could be barely even moving his body, he's not jumping around or doing flashy moves. The groove comes from within, it's not flashy moves or being a "great dancer". Anyone can learn how to Groove that's what makes it so awesome and powerful, it can be very very subtle but girls pick up on this (guys usually don't unless they're a dancer). Think soft, subtle, smooth, intense, rhythmic.
Not big, wild, flashy, attention-seeking. That's outward projection, Grooving draws attention into you by doing not much, you're just feeling the music.
You can either go out to dance hard, or you can go out to groove/seduce. (I'm looking at this from a beginner's perspective, once your game is tight you can do whatever you want). Personally I don't dance hard if I want to pick up because then I sweat a lot and this isn't attractive. Some (un)lucky guys don't really sweat, props to them.
So yea, of course you need some basic game for this to work. I'm just saying dance floor fundamentals (what I recommend) = Grooving.
Then comes basic partner dancing which if done correctly naturally gets a girl aroused, sexual vibe etc..
Obviously diff stuff works for diff people, I've seen dumbasses pick up being all flashy and stupid, do I recommend this? No but it works for them.. I wanna do what's easiest, most fun and most conducive to my style.
Dodgy i have that problem dude, of sweating so i always have to wear black, can you post a sample of groove....If i did not sweat i would triple my hook ups, but anyways, here in south florida is hot and humid, plus the club people turn off the ac or put it low, so they can make money at the bar..
