I thought, "fuck I need to escalate this shit" but I can't really try it with her friends around. So I'm thinking "shit I need to take her on a date"
And this is where I fucked it up.
I texted her and was like, "next week when I get back we need to hangout minus Chris (one of her friends)
So she texts back and says
"me you and Jessica (her other friend)
So I'm like
"no, I meant us. I thought I'd kick your ass at golf again, I mean if Jessica wants her ass kicked too that can be arranged lol"
She texts back like 30 minutes later (she had been replying every minute or so)
"I'd so kick your ass next time"

Mediocre ass response. TF does that mean. So since I completely fucked up asking her out and wasn't clear enough, I'm starting to question if there was even any attraction in the first place. And I think I look like a pussy now.

and this is why double dates are usually a bad idea unless the other guy is a decent wing and has a game plan. No third or fourth wheel dates , or meet up with group dates, ever. Can they work? Yes, but its a low yield practice.

Yes you still seem to still have a chance but dont do what I label "The AFC one-shot text" , use your good game to send a couple flirty DHV texts, then if shes complying to those go for the meet up, dont try to get the date in a one-shot text with a chick that's makes you look needy and the date request comes off as out of context.

Like most left brain people we tend to frame interactions in logical, solution orientated terms. Girls are right brain, emotional creatures, which is one of the major reasons why most engineers and computer types are so horrible with woman.
