1. either grab two different color shirts, or go to a shelf or something were their is a variety of colored shirts and ask the girl if you could get her opinion, you can throw in something like "you look like you know fashion" if you want, then ask her what color she thinks would look best on you
2. if their is a girl working at the store that you want to open and she walks past you while your facing the other direction, look over your shoulder and say "aren't you going to ask me for help or something?" then just take it from there, i suppose you could also use this if she is looking at you for some reason and not saying anything

I personally use, the "I can't figure out what to give my Mom for her birthday (christmas, whatever you want). Can I have your opinon on what I should get her?". I use this on chicks that both work or are shopping in the store. I usually carry items in hand already to show that I'm "actually shopping". Then that is just to get the conversation started, then I make up some incident at the last birthday (chirstmas, etc.) where I saved the day in a funny way... try to make it relate with a gift, cuz that's what you used as an opener. And now you could take it from there...

Such as "this store is so expensive/cheap isn't it?" Or "I really like this store don't you?" if it is a bargin store like Walmart. Then when she answers change the subject quickly to something more interesting.
I am saying this because a lot of the usual pua openers are becoming well known now because they have been used so much and also because of books like the Game. I have seen field reports on another pua forum where a guy uses an opinion opener on a woman and she responded with "are you trying to pick me up?"
Also a simple situation comment for an opener seems far more like casual conversation than a pick up even to a woman who has been hit on tons of times.

Being surrounded by nothing but candles I said the first thing that came to my mind.
"Excuse me..do you guys have any candles?"
she laughed and said something like "..thats like all we have"
i dont remember what else was said. just random bullshit. no number close or anything i was jsut killing time while my mom shopped.
