Ok here's something I've noticed and maybe its just a small thing that bugs me but I always find it to bug me: Does age matter? When I was in School and Sixth form there seemed to be a trend that girls would be all over guys the year above them (including my first girlfriend) more so than guys their own age.

Now many of my friends are at university (aged 18-19) and many of my female friends seem to hook up with older guys (21 or so)

Now I might be asking the obvious but does being older give you an advantage at this age range? I can think of the obvious answers like older guys are probably perceived to have more experience, status and maturity.

While this certainly isn't a bad thing: If its true then I have all this to come, Great

On the flip side it is one of those niggling insecurities I have that I cant tell how old a girl am I gonna get shut down if they find out that i'm younger than them? Do girls only want to be hit on by older guys?

Any personal experience or answers would be great, cheers!

Hell to the no, I have been messing with older women ever since I stepped onto the college scene. I remember hooking up with juniors and they thought I was older than 18, only to find out later from their friends that they hooked up with a freshman, lol. It is all in the way you behave. If you act confident, mature, and charming, then there is no need to wait for this 'being older advantage'. Age is a trivial thing.
