Firstly I gotta say that I've looked at a lot of the main threads on this site and as a newcomer and previous skeptic of PUA, I must admit this site is a great resource for anyone trying to work on their game. Well anyway, here's my situation: A buddy and I are going to the mall this weekend and I'm trying to find good openers in case we came across any HBs. This opener I've created is my mixture of different pickup material I've seen documented in the forums that you'll probably recognize:

"Excuse me? Hey, sorry I know how dangerous it is to get between a woman and her shopping but I had to ask your opinion on something before I left. I'm trying to help my friend over there find an anniversary present for his girlfriend, do you think jewelry is a safe bet?"
(she says yes)
"oh wow so you must be the high maintenance type. how does your boyfriend put up with you?"
(she says she doesn't have one)
"Well that's probably for the best because you've got to be the cutest girl that I've seen in the last 20 minutes. What is your name?"
(she says her name, I say mine)
"Well (insert name), I do have to get going. But I want to exchange numbers so we can get to know each other a little better"
(We exchange numbers and I get out)


I feel this is a good approach first because it seems more innocent and honest than some of the more transparent ones I've seen (not that I'm saying they don't work). I just personally feel most comfortable making a "natural reason" for the approach. Also, the second line negs the target as well as finding out whether or not she has a bf. And if she says she does and doesn't appear interested I could just say "well thank you for your advice" and move on to the next HB without anyone feeling uncomfortable. Let me know what you think.

Pretty neat indirect approach but dont expect it to go just as planned.

Dont say excuse me or sorry makes you look weak.

Start with hey or hi and the i "I know how dangerous it is to get between a woman and her shopping" is really good funny statement lol
