We are in our early 20's and this was the first phone call. Is this a bad/good sign?

Neutral. She is just learning about you and finding out if you have kids. To some women this is a deal breaker, and other women love kids. If she is still talking to you then she's fine with your answer. :) As I said Neutral...not good, not bad....just a rapport building question.
