Can gimmicks like tarot cards and such be used as openers ? If so how'd you go about it ?

Yes they can.

But, and I'm not being a dick with this... if you're asking... you're not ready for that.

Many that are learning game focus on games, tricks, routines and scripts rather than the concept as to why they're used.

Once you learn the concepts - you can create your own openers, tricks, gimmicks, etc...

Learn the concepts first man.
