College Student Bar Clothing

I'm going to the bar this weekend. I'm in college and don't really know what to wear.

Should I just wear jeans and a solid designer tee or jeans and a plaid shirt? I find that's what most students wear?

Just please don't wear anything that has the words "hollister" written over the entire front of the t shirt.
