Sorry this must seem like a very basic question but I keep reading this phrase everywhere and I don't actually know what it means.

What is it, and do you have any tips for it?

A cold approach is when you approach a girl with the intent of attracting her. "Cold" means it is a girl whom you have no prior knowledge of or contact with. She is a stranger to you. Where as a "WARM" approach would be someone you know, an acquitance, a friend of a friend, etc. In this case you are approaching a stranger with the intent to pick her up.

Yeah there are tons of tips for the cold approach openers and pickup. I would start with the openers section of the forum.

cold approach is when you talk to a woman/group/person without any prior metting.

EG: walking up to a stranger and asking them the time
or walking up to a stranger and running game on them/ introducing yourself.

a hot/warm approach is talking to someone you've met/have rapport with such as an acquaintance.

Maybe I am mistaken, but I thought that the warm approach was something else.
A cold approach is as people say, walking up to a girl without any previous contact.
A warm approach is when you act on an approach invitation, like a girl smiling at you or having eyecontact with you or showing interest in any other way.

Approaching someone you already know isnt really an approach is it? Its just like hanging out with your friends.
