Pick Up is one big compromise. A guy was happy then he couldn't get the girl he wanted and so he changed. Mystery changed, Style changed, they all change...you changed. The girls told you "just be yourself," but that was not good enough...don't hate me for bringing it to your attention.

Dude, I tried being someone else hardcore. I tried changing myself into someone who doesn't care, told myself every time before I went out that all girls are bitches to help me approach, went into arrogant asshole mode. I tried to be confident. I crashed and burned. I broke down, emotionally.

I then came to a point of accepting myself. I had to accept the fact I'm sensitive, that I am probably more emotional than most guys. I get attached to a girl easily.

But this time I didn't run from it, I accepted it. And with that I can now be more confident in my core self, and apply these skills that I am learning.

Naturally, I am a needy person, but I hold back. Am I portraying someone else? Not really. I know who I am and I know what I must do. Sometimes the two are different. Especially in pickup I do things I would never have done before. But does that mean I am not being myself? No. It means I have learned, and still am learning, how to get closer to my goal. It's learning a skillset. We know what we do in PUA. Those who are naturals can be themselves subconsciously. We know who we are and what we have to do.

Discipline....
