I don't want to get too into the details of the relationship I have with this girl. We went out a while back, stopped seeing each other, now we're talking again although she has a BF. We go out over the weekend to a shitty movie. It seems like she's pretty into her BF or whatever. I don't let it bother me much. She's also friends with my sister so she hangs out too. My sister said that she said her and the BF never fight, blah fuckin blah.

Anyway that night she comes over, and on the phone gets in the most ridiculous fight I've ever heard with this cockwad of a BF. She's in my bathroom crying while on the phone, so I go in and ask what's wrong. She gives the standard 'asshole boyfriend' response. I put my arm around her and then he calls again. While he's screaming at her on the phone, I just kept my arm around her rubbing her arm.

I brought her out of the bathroom and listened to this go on for a solid hour. I was yelling things so he could hear it like 'Faggot' 'Pussy' and 'Handle your shit'. It was mostly to make her laugh, but I also wanted him to know she was with a guy at the time. She tells him 'we're done' but never hung up on him. She was sitting on the floor and I picked her up and put her on the bed, also put my arm around her stomach, but I did not do anything more aggressive.

What I want to know is, would a true PUA have done anything different there? I really like the girl, but at the same time I figured giving her space would be the best option at the time. Of course, as is par for the course, she went back to him the very next morning, but if something like that happened it'll happen again.

I know I'm an AFC oneitis-having fuck, but I'm not done with this girl yet. What would a tru PUA do here?

You should have taken the phone from her, hung it up, said "he's not worth your aggrevation" or something to that effect, followed by "Let's get out of here" and taken her to have fun. You show that you can control the situation for her and get her out of that shit mood. Next time she cries she'll remember you're the one that that made her laugh.

But - yes, it was AFC of you to yell during her phone call. Can you handle yourself? If so, TAKE the phone and tell the BF to call back when he's calm, hand up, turn the ringer off and GO OUT.

If you're not the AMOG type, then simply take the phone as Enubis said and turn if off.

Even if I thought I could fuck her then and there, I'd wait... I'd feel too much like a parent then to fuck her... I'd probably fuck her at the end of that fun date - but not just after the phone call from the BF...
