I'm currently doing the Stylelife Challenge and i'm on day 20 tomorrow. The goal is to invite a girl to a certain event. The thing is though, i don't feel comfortable doing it. All of the other "pickups" i've done have went like this.

Open - Jealous girlfriend

Disqualify - OMG did you know your nose wiggles when you talk? OMG haha there it goes again!

If its more than 1 girl i'll then ask how they all know each other but if its just 1 on her own i'll usually say, "I met a girl when i was on holiday in Malia. Have you ever been there?" blah blah "Her nose wiggles as well, actually here's a funny story..." Then i'll go onto say how my regulator broke when i went scuba diving and how a school of barracudas swarmed around me.

I'll then do the ring routine (for those that don't know, its a DHV that tells them something they might not know about themselves, you should probably find something on it around here Smile"

Then some cold reading.

Throughout this though, they never really seem hooked, it feels as is they aren't investing in the conversation. How do i make them do that, what questions do i ask and when should i ask them? Also when should it try to qualify them? I feel as if i say to them..."Tell me 3 interesting things about you" they will be like "what?, why would we do that? we just met you" I'm doing daygame by the way. Just going upto girls in shopping malls.

Answers will be much appreciated! Also the stylelife challenge is great for newcomers, I wouldn't say i'm new to this but i was the kind of guy who read and never done anything. I now do my best to complete every challenge and go out everyday.
