I think ideally he should have been able to frame the situation in such a way as to cause the guys to try to gain his approval, rather than trying to compete with him. How exactly that is done....is for someone with better game than me to explain.

I know it sounds bad but sometimes im the guy that starts being a dick to other guys who approach the girls im with ( This only happens when im in London) its annoying every 5 minutes you get a guy approaching the girls your with and being nice to them, this gets old fast " i appreciate your confidence but they're with me tonight"
