You guys saw the Mayweather and Cotto fight last night. If you didn't, WTH is wrong with you!?

Anyways, they were showing Cotto's wife and she was smoking. Cotto lost, Mayweather won. I've always wondered what it would be like for the female in these types of situations... but what happens to Cotto's wife in terms of attraction? Does it drop a little and does she become more attracted to Mayweather?

If she were to cheat, would she cheat on her husband with Mayweather?

Women like winners, not losers.

(And yes, this is a serious question. No troll.)

Well in terms of evolutionary instinct, yes she might have the thought "he can plant his seed with me now."

But in terms of evolution of the human mind, the neo-cortex of humans is too far evolved now, her rational thinking would stop her from doing this (or at least it should, if she did anything it would be because of other pressing issues, a whole other psychology). What I mean by this is, (in terms of finding a mate) for women if this rational thinking wasn't here, you would just simply see girls with boyfriends that are strong, tall and have alpha body language. This is simply not the case nowadays, and probably more rare than popular.

This is absurd, imagine two boys in the playground fighting over a girl. Attraction or at least any noticeable change in attraction would not be attributed to this cause.

The belief here is displays of physical strength impress girls, a belief that the community has distilled as rubbish.

Cotto is a good enough boxer to get a ring for a fight with May-weather... that's not exactly losing.

Girls/Women/HBs whatever you want to call them think, act and feel a lot like you. If you can understand that and really chew that over then Pick up will come naturally.

If you had a wife and she entered a beauty pageant and lost out to another girl in the finals, would you really give a fuck? Would that honestly be a deciding factor in your relationship?

Sure, you might be disappointed for her, that she was beaten at the last stage but generally speaking you'd be thrilled to know your wife got to the finals of a beauty pageant.

Will you like the girl who beat her more than you like your wife? If you are normal functioning human being your answer should be "Not in the slightest."

Again, these kinds of problems are really "no-brainers" when you put yourself in the other persons shoes.

This isn't a matter of fighting over a girl. In Mayweather and Cotto's case, they were fighting to see who is the better boxer, money, and other things. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that fighting over a girl is unattractive.

The belief isn't about physical strength wins girl. The belief is that women like winners, not losers. Did you even bother reading my post penguin guy?

@BeautyPagentGuy
Woman and men are different, so that argument doesn't make sense. You can find out for yourself by looking at the reactions of Mayweather's girl and Cotto's girl once the winner has been announced. Doesn't look so "I'm still thrilled he got to box Mayweather" to me.

Depends on how you look at it.

When boxing Mayweather, yes.

You don't know his life outside of boxing so you cannot make that assumption.

Woman and men regardless of their relatively superficial differences are still human, psychology is generally universal, empathy can take you a long way.

And of course the spouses of Cotto and Mayweather reacted differently to the announcement, they had invested in different people and so the result of the fight had different emotional meanings to them. The point is, if Cotto.. a man who has made it in Boxing so far as to get a world title shot is a loser, then what does that make all the boxers beneath him?

Your life does not become worthless because in one area of life you were out-classed by someone else and further-more -good- relationships are not constant affairs of asset management.

Because someone lost a fight is not a loser, second, women have a motherly nature she will be all over him, kissing his ass and trying to cheer him up... For example, I once got laid for the first time when i got ridicule and embarrassed by a brother of a girl i liked and i felt like shit afterwards, to my surprise it work in me getting laid with her for the first time... I do martial arts when i come home with a broken leg, nose, black eye i notice my gf or girls i was dating caring, affection etc... increases...

The thing is, there has got to be a line somewhere. Girls like winners? But surely then there would only ever be a handful of men who were the very best in their respective category in the whole world getting any.

You're basically saying that only one boxer in the whole world (or at least only one per weight division) is ever going to be able to keep a girl attracted to him, as for every other boxer out there, there is always someone better than him.

How about anyone who works in any type of business? Doesn't matter how much you're earning or how successful you are, because there's always some other bloke who is making a bit more money than you? Therefore only that one guy ever gets any? Doesn't work like that.

In terms of instantaneous attraction, I think the girl would have had other things on her mind at the time (ie; her boyfriend being beaten black and blue) rather than thinking about sleeping with someone else. This is the sort of thing where people in pick up can put too much on the "science". It needs to be tapered with some common sense. Common sense would suggest that just because one uber rich and uber successful boxer got beaten by another, it's not going to mean that his girl is going to leave him, or was attracted to the victor. Compared to the vast majority of other people, he is still more successful, richer, in better shape, more famous and probably a lot more confident too.

I dont know, ive seen guys fight in the bars over women, and it did nothing more than make the women giggle. Women actually enjoy starting fights between two guys.

In Cotto's case, he's not a loser, even if he lost the fight. He's still a bigger winner than most of us, so I dont think that would change anything. She could end up hating mayweather for beating her man to a pulp too.

The real question would be, say a guy working at mcdonalds, he happens to score a hot chick through pua techniques. Then he is out with her at the movies one night and they run into a celebrtiy. A rich good looking, popular celeb, now THAT would make you wonder what would happen.

I remember being on a beach one time, and my friend and his fiance were hanging out, and along comes Celeb(wont say his name), and the girl was turning all her body language over to the celeb. She wouldnt even hold hands with her fiance, while the guy was there.

I felt so bad for my friend, she couldn't help herself from trying to show the celeb she was either single, or willing to change her status, or just awestruct by the celeb.

I tend to think if the celeb wanted her, he would have had her, right then and there if he wanted to.
