Sometimes it isn't there and sometimes it creeps it's little head and does it's job of protecting my "pride". I am aware of the emotion but I have trouble controlling it.

Well...to be honest the Ego is everything. The id, the super ego, the ego. Whatever. The ego is part of development...it is actually one of the phases of socialization.

Our ego is meant to protect us because I believe to some level that is what it is there for. Not everyone uses ego the same way...some people's ego's punish them due to having something bad happen to them (creeping out a girl, bad grades, life problems, etc.) All human emotion is tied to this "EGO" or something as part of our being.

It is hard to say "how can I get rid of my ego.." Honestly, you never really can. What you can do is train your ego to just be numb. When a girl rejects you, and lets assume you are Brad Pitt and you look AMAZING and you're gaming, cocky funny, but you're not the celebrity. Lets assume this. You can do anything but you can get blown out by 1 specific girl if her mood is bad, if something had happened to her. Anything. It's all stuff not in our control.

I think real PUAs can realize and admit some factors of the "game" is just that: variables outside of our control. And on another hand...Mystery says treat it like a "game."

That's all this is. I find it funny. The most attractive people can sit around eye-contacting girls sexually and receiving IOI's back and not making a single move while having a great ego for no reason, while us as Pick Up Artists strive to reach out to a stranger and realize them as another human being we can connect with and yet....our ego gets hurt the most.
