| So, me and my buddy Al-Capone were sitting on the river up at Texas State University in San Marcos. We had spotted two pretty cute girls - a blonde and a brunette/redhead show up, so we casually walked over to a bench, waiting for the right moment. They didn't notice us, but luckily for us, in less than 10 minutes, they were going to walk right past us. I decided to use an argument opener (pretend like you are having a long-standing argument with your friend and "spontaneously" ask for a third party opinion from the girls you meet). Up close, the blonde was a pretty solid 7, the other one was either a 5 or a 6. Good for beginners like us. Our argument was the good "frat" opener (Frat guys - turn on or turn off?). This was a good one to get their attention, and keep them interested. Then, we led into an ESP trick - Al-Capone nailed it (yes, it was 7), the blonde was impressed. Asked if they were partiers, they said yes, but hadn't been to any yet. Had some more small talk, used some negs here and there ("Oh, so you don't party. You must be so boring!") and some cocky funny ("We are kind of a big deal.") Not as enthusiastic as we could have been, but I chalk it up to beginner's nerves. However, we actually number-closed pretty soon after only a 15 minute conversation or so. Told them we'd hit them up later, which of course, means tomorrow (is that too soon/late? They told us they were busy tonight anyway). Great first number close though! Helped get our confidence up and running. Now, gotta get ready for the next one.
