Long story short, k closed last night, back at her place chilling, turns out she is a virgin (or claimed to be) so I didn't try and f-close, we swapped numbers.

In the space of 24 hours or however long she has gone kind of defensive/insecure by text, all like 'i really like you do you really like me?', that kind of thing.

Don't really know how to pursue this, I want to keep her interested but without getting her picking out wedding dresses before day 2 lol...

Any advice/experiences would be much appreciated.

So what is it you want to do? just fuck or maybe have a relationship with?

both cases i think you must concentrate at the same time in:

- showing her you're caring ( 50% )
- attracting her sexually ( 25% )
- give her rational reasons for what will happen ( 25% )

In my opinion what you should do is just... talk with her normally like nothing much ever happened. talk about anything what she's up to.. make her questions about her and reward the answers either by saying stuff like "wow.. you're more interesting that i tought.. probably the most interesting girl i've met last months" ( if she asks you how many girls you've met.. try putting up an ENORMOUS smile and say "2 of course"... it'll be fun xD ) OR telling her stuff about you ( yes.. that is a reward.. emotionally speaking )

i don't think tuff like: "don't worry i really like you" would work ( as usual )

just by asking her.. shutting uo while hearing the answer and rewarding her you should build enough comfort and trust to be able to go for the close.

Just don't only do that and alternate with sexual jokes such that it is always fun and the frame is: you want me. Don't exagerate them tho.

don't be pushy for another meeting/date, when you hear her.. talk normally.. i'd suggest not asking for a date at least until the third time from now that you hear her... would be better if when you hear her on the phone after doing all you got to do you make her laugh and while she's laughing you come out with something like:

"ehy i really got to go now, i'm expcted" and leave her like that while she's having fun.

When you decide it is time to go out on a date.. don't immediately ask for that.. talk a little bit and have fun togheter.. then say you have TWO free days ( so she can choose one ) so you could hang out togheter ( for something "light".. we both know that what you're saying you'll do on the date and what you're actually gonna do on that date are different and it doesn't matter .. but that will lower defences and all you did before will give a good rational reason to go out ).

She accept fine.. you're on your feet to try all you want.
She doesn't... don't ask her out before at least 5-6 calls.. and ack as NOTHING ever happened.. she never rejected the date and you just have fun talking with her and her with you.

At least.. that is what i would try

Managed to get through her late night drunken emotional needy text fest last night in the end...the text she sent which threw me went roughly "maybe i dont know if u really like me or just want to kill time x"

Which I countered with "I have an awesome life which fills my time, I don't need to use people" with no "kiss" as a kind of text takeaway.

That seemed to work perfectly, dealt with her shit test and I still didn't actually say I liked her, just implied it while DHVing at the same time

After that reply, she apologised for how she'd been and said she wished I was in bed with her. Situation handled

I think the point you made about working out what I want from the situation here is key...don't want to lead her on, but no way am I looking for an LTR situation here.
