I consider certain celebrities like Catherine Zeta Jones and Hannah Montana to be 10s because they seem larger then life and everything going for them. At the club that I went to last night, quite honestly there was may be like 2 9s there.

i completly disagree certain people have certain needs - if there jsut basing on looks its easy to call alot of people 10s - if there basing on personality its harder to get a 10 but its still possible and if you get both your very luck. if your in a serious relationship you should not be focusing on her small faults anyway so you should see her as a 10!

that bieng said you shouldent place her on a pedastool and worship her because shes a 10 but yes there are 10s all over the world some might only be 7s for you while for others they are 10s.

If we are basing a girl's number on appearance then you could say that you've found a 10 or 11. I recall being back in high school and the first girl that I ever had a crush on was an easy 10 in my book. Obviously growing older and wiser, I've come to understand there's no such thing as perfection. There certainly isn't a 10, it is mythical like the OP stated, but I can see why guys might call someone a 10 based on appearance.

a girl who is a 10 could be in theory possible. We can can all have our opinions on what beauty is but universal beauty has been proven depsite the face being different. The golden ratio yes the golden ratio 1:1.618 can hold the answer. So many points of the body have this ratio that if a women held all these ratios for every part of the face that is measured and every body part she would be in theory a 10 because every feature would be in perfect porportion

Talking about asymptotes in a girl getting forum is beyond all logic, this is not chess ELO system or any other scientific rating system.

I consider that average looking girls should be 5 or 6.
7 is above average but nothing special,
8 are cute girls, (enough for most men)
9 and 10 real hot girls for any standard, you cannot get one of these unless you are rich, super good looking or an accomplished PUA.

I've always read these ratings with the assumption that they were calibrated from the perspective of the person who's talking about these women. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, one man's 10 is another man's 7 and vice-versa. Check out sites like HotOrNot to see what I mean.

Trying to design some sort of a universal looks scale for women would be about as pointless as trying to rate music on a universal scale of 1 to 10. You know full well some people would rate Bieber as #1 and others would choose Mozart or Pink Floyd. Who is right? The answer is they're all correct from their own perspectives and tastes.

I don't believe there are any women who can be universally considered physically 10/10 attractive all over the world, in all cultures, by all tastes, by men in all walks of life. No matter which celebrity you give as an example of a 10, someone else will pipe in and disagree with you.

Plenty of evidence present in this thread to support this: someone above mentioned Hannah Montana would be a 10, but I would maybe rate her at most a 7 which is still above average attractive, but nowhere near the 'wow' mark *FOR MY TASTES*. That's because I prefer women, not teenyboppers. No doubt I'd feel differently if I was nineteen myself, but I'm in my thirties.

(For calibration purposes, I would rate Grace Kelly, Ingrid Bergman and Audrey Hepburn as 10s. No living celebrity rates a 10 in my book, although I can think of quite a few 9-9.5s).

I don't think I understand why the rating scale is even neccesary. I think even putting girls low on the scale like a HB5 or even HB6 can be bad. If you like a girl, you like her why does a number have to be attached? Is there any specific purpose for this scale?

its all about interpretation and personal opinion what some guys see as the perfect girl, some guys may see for example megan fox as a 10 beautiful and sophisticated yet some guys will see her as a 7 because shes too skinny and covered in tattoos! cheryl cole again beautiful and amazing body however some would say she has an annoying accent (however i think her accent is hot even though i live in london) i do believe that there is a 10 for everybody however somebody else may see her as a lower score.

Someone told me this, and I couldn't help but agree. Doesn't leave the "10" useless, but also gives you that abundance mentality.

Every girl I fall in love with has been a 10 so far.
It's an psychology theory called the 'Halo-Effect' makes you forget about the negative aspects and focus only on those extremely positive aspects.

I don't agree completely. HB 10 is relative and subjective. We were out. The clubs had a large amount of the girls that were old and/or ugly. Then the few that were relatively "attractive" seemed really hot. So we fucked them. Then we thought, "shit, they were pretty ugly, though".

Basic psychology.

In a club filled with good looking and interesting women, you get more picky. I actually caught myself missing out on a very beautiful young girl that was giving me tons of IOI's and just talked to her briefly rather than asking her number when she was leaving because I got IOI's from other good-looking women all over.

I know realize it was a mistake. She would have def. been an f-close, and perhaps interesting enough for more. She was great.

What people need to get over for sure is their admiration for hot women. The more they admire them, the more they will get shot down, esp. from HB7+. They are used to all that crap. you give them shit, and they reward you for it. F'ed up is'nt it? I get such response from good-looking women since I just make fun of them and let them qualify themselves to me. It's crazy how all this works.
