Make your pro pic a hatless pic of you, possibly with a friend. It (the hat) conceals your facial features and makes you seem shady and off putting. If it's a picture with you and a friend (make sure to specify in the caption which one is you) it looks like you're a cool, social guy who likes to have fun.
Lose the mention of the religion in your profile. It sends off immediate negative vibes to the majority of girls you'll meet, unless they're religious themselves. If religion is important to you, fair enough, but you shouldn't fly the flag loud and proud if you want to bag girls. Everyone loves a man of faith, but only if they're one of those shy and retiring ones who don't cram their beliefs down their throats. If you've got a big thing on your profile saying "I'm A Christian", it might seem that way to some.
With your self-employed thing, specifics are key. What exactly is it that you do? Also is there any chance you can get different questions you answered to display on your pro? I'm a bit of a POF novice, but having "Do You Take Drugs: No" on your thing (if you choose to display that one question) is a little bizarre to me. Also, if you can get rid of the part about "Longest Relationship", jip that too. Makes it sound like you're looking at the past too much.
Finally, your bio section. I'm going to edit it with suggestions and spell check for you;
Larger than me, illiterate, have bizarre, trampy tattoo's that have no personal meaning, or completely crazy. If you exhibit any of the above symptoms, I'd advise you find someone else because it won't work out (unless you're good crazy, everyone likes good crazy).

I'm a fun, young, athletic guy who lives life to the fullest and likes to keep active and fit at all times. How do I do that I hear you ask? Well simple. I keep busy with hobbies like shooting, quad biking and horseriding. I'm also into kayaking, hiking and caving because I love to see the world and everything that's in it.
Sound like a country boy right? Well there's more to me than that. I love the city too. I love music and lights whether it's downtown, at a concert or a music festival such as the Gulf Shores Hangout Festival in May (which I'm totally stoked for). I've made your language sound more exciting and positive and tried to add detail so people can learn more about you because your current profile is vague. Obviously, reword this to your own specifications. I'm no PUA myself so I imagine someone will come in and say there's improvements to be made on my improvements but for now, this is a good start.
