Hi guys,

I am a newbie, just learning how to open.

Currently reading Strauss' The Game. My question is what next. Should I read Mystery's book too? Should I go to another method? Or is one book enough?

Where you go from here will greatly depend on your personal style. If you liked the method and tactics used in the game, then pick up The Mystery Method. NLP, natural game, and cocky funny are all viable options as well. Ideally, you should pick and choose what you want from each method and use them all at your disposal. I encourage you to try everything to see what best suits your tastes. This is how you develop your own pickup style.

I think you should start opening before you read anything else.

After you go out and talk to girls, think about what went right and what went wrong. When you see that something went wrong, you could come on this forum and ask about it. We'll point you in the right direction, and all of your knowledge on game will be based on life experience rather than hypothetical scenarios.

Finished the book. I will start opening more, but I don't know where to take the conversation. For instance, started a convo on the train today. But kept thinking where do I take it from here. How do I get better at this? Also, what is my goal? Goal four min,? Number close? k-close?

In day game your goal is number-close. It seems like an "advanced move" and you should try just talking to girls before anything else, but go ahead and try to number close your sets now, if you can get them talking. Only by number-closing can you continue the conversation past that day.

Watch Simple Pickup on youtube. They have videos that show simple humor you can use, and then number close techniques.
