I've been hovering about the forum for a few weeks, reading various articles and such. I'd quite happily admit i'm a complete "noob" to picking up women. I'm not bad with them, however my problem is i tend to be able to talk to girls fine, but they just view me as a friend.

I've been texting a girl I know from university for the past week, and at the weekend we will be at a party together. Problem with this girl is she seems to show interest in texts, flirting a lot, however she always refers to me as a friend. Which is obviously quite confusing. Any ideas?

She's going to refer to you as a friend if you're not officially together, I wouldn't read too much into that.

Main thing is stay flirty and then at the party look for signs she's interested and make your move at the right time. Try and read about something called kino escalation, it could be a useful technique for you.
