I know this is lame but I got approached by a girl on this dating site and I rejected her a month ago. Now am thinking of re-approaching because she was hot but just wondering what excuse I should use. Was seeing a girl I was trying to be monogamous to but don't want to say that because it may appear like she's a rebound chick.

Just get conversation going again, you don't have to spark the conversation with "Sorry I didn't get back to you" or "Sorry, I was a jerk turning you down" etc.

Just

"Hey, you're still on here? no luck huh? How're you doing? keeping out of mischief I hope"
