So I have a problem,

I haven't been on this for a while but here goes, I have reached a point in my "partying" life where a simple short term physical relationship with a girl just doesn't cut it anymore. There are plenty of possible reasons for this, maybe I'm bored, maybe I'm sick of only getting any while drunk or perhaps (and most likely) it's the fact that relationships are the new fashionable thing in my circle of friends.

Anyway my problem is that I can't seem to make the leap from "fun" with a girl to something else, My short lived relationships all tend to play out the same way, I meet a girl while out but afterwards there is no real connection that propmts us to continue things. So is there anything I can do?

This problem is seriously starting to effect my social life, to quote cracked.com "Being single is like sitting on the toilet: the most natural thing in the world, but stay that way for a second too long and people begin to think there is something seriously wrong with you." Right now that's who I am, the perpetually single guy. It's gone to the stage where my friends look at me as if I'm inferior or worse, with pity. That's got to change. Fast.

But don't get me wrong THIS IS NOT ABOUT PEER PRESSURE. Frankly, it's an insult to my intelligence if anyone believes I could succumb to that. I actually do want to have a relationship, to have what others have. If only for a while.
