Does anyone have ideas on how to approach a girl talking on a cell phone or listening to an iPod?

For cell phones I like using this its David DeAngelo's method.

"Hey what's up? Tell them you'll get back to them, I'm definately far more interesting."

*Do it with a grin or smile on your face so she knows you're being playful not an @sshole!*

If she's not on it but messing with it. Walk over to her say, "Hey, Give me your phone." Dial your phone number and press send, and hand it back to her. Say "thanks", and walk off.

She'll call you, trust me!

Those damn iPods always stop me cold. I think we can start by breaking it down into
1) you have eye contact with her, or
2) you can't establish eye contact with her (like, she's sitting on a subway seat next to the window, looking out the window, with the iPod cranked up).

You could start in case (2) by asking her to turn it down, in some witty way. Is it acceptable to get her attention to do this by tapping her shoulder lightly?

OMG alright, one of my hobbies is listening to music extensively and because of that I know a shit load of bands and can talk music for hours. To approach a girl with headphones on do this

1) Walk up to her
2) Say: Excuse me what are you listening to.
She will take off her headphones and say a band.
If you know the band say AHhh I thought so I could hear it from over there. They are great... blah blha blah you now have her talking
BUT
if she say a band you don't know be like ohh well they sound good do you mind if I have a listen. Then sit there and listen to them. As you are listening think of bands that sound like the one youre listening to.

If she is listening to something very mellow but you know the band, say yeah I kinda enjoy fairy music sometimes. It puts me in a good mood. If she is listeing to dance music be like "(laugh) do you take ecasty too?" If she is listening to like emo/screamo be say "(laugh) Can I see youre wrists then roll up her sleeves or turn her arm over". If she is listening to heavy metal be like "RAWWW MEGA DEATH RULES I LOVE SATAN!!!!"

Now always say these in joking manners as not to insult her but I guess to neg her. But after this is done make sure you say something along the lines of an opener or say "have you heard of (similar band)"
then get into conversation.

A good way is to get their attention and wave them over to you and run your opener. If you motion them over they should take the headphones off if they're on the phone use David D, or wait for them to finish the convo.

one i use all the time, if i see a chick texting on her phone (which is all the time anywhere) . i pull out my phone, walk up to her and say "Why are you texting me ?? I'm right here ... "

For the ipod you need to get eye contact with them first, and then make the motion of taking the earphones out, she will, and then you open as normal

ok guys, to open a hb with headphones you:
. get eye contact
.signal for her to take her headphones out and look like you expect her to do it
pua: "hey do they work?"
hb: "what?" (she will be confused as obviously her headphone do work,cos she listening to them!)
pua: yea, I was thinkin of gettin a pair to stop hot chicks approaching me so often when im busy, do they work ?
she will probs laugh and give u gd body launguage if delivered well so you just take a step back for comfort and stack with your normall opener, wld work well with some variation of 80's music !

i would try to give her my number to txt me this way she could listen to her music and talk to me at the same time...

maybe write a note "txt me right now. 555-555-5555"
