Hey guys,

There are classic examples of Alpha role models you can find in film: Thomas Crown, James Bond, Tyler Durden, Vito Corleone, etc. I'd like to recommend one that's worked really well for me.

Chevy Chase.

No, seriously.

If you don't own "Caddyshack" or "Fletch", give them a watch. His characters thrive off their quick wit and they do not give a shit what anyone thinks. In "Caddyshack", when he's romancing a girl, she says, "My uncle says you've got a screw loose." To which he replies, without missing a beat, "Your uncle molests collies."

In "Fletch", he stumbles upon a girl outside the shower and she's just wearing a towel. "Can I borrow your towel for a sec? My car just hit a water buffalo."

Again, sometimes you can knock it out of the park by just amusing yourself. I just went to Vegas and tried this. I'm dancing with this girl in this loud, loud club, and she says, "So where are you from?" And I said, "Oh, I just got out of prison." "Prison, what??" "Yeah, they picked me up for jaywalking. And removing tags on mattresses? They take that very seriously in this state."

Et cetera, et cetera.

Kept dancing, and said things like, "You're a way better dancer than Hector, my cellmate."

It really doesn't matter what you say anyway, so long as you're having a good time. Have fun!

Be weary about modeling yourself on, or taking techniques from, a fake character invented by the mainstream media.

"Weary" means impatient or tired. You mean "wary", right?

Grammar badge aside, you could apply that response to any thread on this site. What ISN'T invented by the mainstream media? People know this is a cafeteria. They take what works and discard the rest.

Everyone has a cocky/funny potential. I'm just saying bring it out.

The lines are funny, I can see myself using them next time I'm at a loss of words. As the man said, people know this is a cafeteria. Take what works for you and discard the rest.
