| Preface: I have never really thought of myself as an Average Frustrated Chump (AFC) but I guess I am depending on one's definition. I remember exchanging love notes with girls back in 3rd grade and kissing girls in 4th grade. In high school I usually had a steady girlfriend as well as other intimate encounters.
I am introverted and quiet which has not been so good when it comes to getting the ladies. Fortunately, I am reasonably good looking, have a good sense of humor, am a good listener, and am naturally funny. Even though I am quiet I always knew how to flirt and my communication has improved much over the years.
I didn't actually lose my virginity until I was in college.
So, I was never the "nice guy" standing with flowers out in the rain while the "bad boy" was banging the hottie inside. But, I haven't always been assertive and strong either. But, I have improved a lot.
How I Got into the "Game":
I don’t really remember how I became aware of the seduction community or of guys referring to themselves as pick up artists. I suppose I was searching the internet for information on how to pick up and seduce woman like any other typical horny guy. Or, perhaps it was when I was studying NLP or romance or relationships. Regardless of how I found the community I was definitely intrigued.
I remember reading some material by C. R. James. I also remember buying and reading a book called Make Every Girl Want You. In addition, I bought and read The Art of Seduction by Robert Greene. All of this material was interesting but the best material was yet to come.
Perhaps I was wondering how win my ex-girlfriend back when I came upon some seduction websites. I began to learn about this underground community. It’s possible that Ross Jeffries is one of the first PUAs I learned from as well as David DeAngelo and his cocky/funny concepts. I began to learn about simple things like inner and outer game. I learned a little about approaches and openers. I soon found out that a book called The Game existed. I didn’t rush out and buy it immediately but I kept seeing it referenced so I decided I needed to read it as part of my education. I found it interesting that this book by Neil Strauss resembled the Bible. I loved The Game.
Shortly after reading The Game and learning this other new material I got back together with my girlfriend.
I was talking to her on the phone one evening and just for the fun of it I used Ross Jeffries’ Discovery Channel Pattern. I talked about roller coasters involving arousal, excitement, and yet a feeling of safety. She said, "It sounds like sex." I thought, "Wow, it worked." She didn't have an orgasm on the other end of the phone line but it was still funny to see that it had a reaction.
I also tried the incredible connection pattern and asked her if she had ever really been captivated by someone's voice. She reacted to this pattern somewhat and said, "Some people say I have an interesting voice and I think it would be fun to be on the radio." So, nothing major but still it got her thinking and it was better than boring conversation so that's good.
I became much less needy and was able to demonstrate that I was a sexual being and not apologize about it.
She said she loved me for the first time after we got back together and I was a different man to some extent I think.
I also used openers and funny routines with other females just for fun. I asked a cocktail waitress, "Are you as nice on the inside as you are on the outside?" She said, "No!" I told her I liked her hair because it was long and very attractive. Nothing major happened but it was something I wouldn't have done in the past and she kept smiling every time she passed our table the rest of the night.
Well, more stories later.
