How do you handle the anxiety after sending first txt?

I just txtd a girl who I am super keen on, and logically I know it's only been half an hour and she is probably at work. But I get that crazy feeling that she read it an dismissed it.
What do you guys do to deal with this? I always mix between rationalising it e.g she's probably at work, it's not really something she could ignore so she's obviously busy or whatever it may be. Or I go into this texting frenzy, my friends other girls, everyone gets a MSG.
Either way it doesn't really help and I'm stuck here checking my phone every five minutes.
