How do you effectively hold a text conversation with someone that only ever seems to give short answers and "how are you"s and "are you ok"s? I've had this girl's number for 7 months now, tried it 7 months ago but she was exactly the same so got bored. Same story just after new years. Today i get a text out of the blue from her... "hew hows u? x".

Now i'm not sure why she would send that nearly 3 months on from our last interaction. Is she still interested? How do i get her to open up more? I try and start several different threads of conversation but she just doesn't buy into them.
