Man you guys last night fucking sucked!

As some of you might already know I split up with my girl in January after a year and a half long relationship. I worked my way up till I got my game pretty tight and then left it behind in order to date my gf.

When we were nearing the end I was worried that once I got back out in the field I'd flounder and be unable to pickup girls. I thought I'd lucked out at first cuz right after the breakup I scored two girls in a month.

Turns out those girls were just luck + being natural. I ran game last night and actually took the shit seriously. Blown out of every set on the open....

I'd like to know. Has anyone else been through this? How long till I can really do this shit again and how much practice is it gonna take? It's really discouraging. It's like taking a year of your life to learn to box. Then leaving boxing behind and realizing you gotta go back only to find out you fuckin suck at now. UGH! Man this blows!

Actually, you don't have much to worry about. It is a common phenomenon that occurs with most activities in life. You begin with a blank slate, and from there you succeed "by chance". However, your ego soon exceeds your technique and you start forgiving yourself for shaky game.

An example of this is an RAFC friend of mine. He started out blowing out sets, but quickly progressed to getting number and kiss closes. The problem was, that the better he did in set, the less attention he would pay to his game. He would forgive himself for small mistakes, and then become incredibly frustrated while believing he was running solid game.

It is a part of a the learning phase and curve. All you can do is keep trying and hammering out the bad habits. Go out with a wing and ask him to examine you. Nobody likes to be criticized, but trust me, being told all the mistakes you make in set will make it much easier for you to correct them.
