Posts: 38 | | I'd like to ask some opinions on it. Does being deliberately beta in a work environment is better for your career than trying to be alpha and getting screwed by the boss.
Also, not caring what other people think of you can be a ticking bomb at the office.

Posts: 4238 | | Being alpha will get you into some trouble but in the long run it is a good thing. You dont get as much shit as others get and it also builds trust, the downside is that people think of you as a problem causing guy, difficult to lead and control.
Being beta is just that, you dont get yelled at as much but you will be forgotten and not getting as much attention as an alpha.
It depends on what you wanna reach. Are you a go getter or do you just wanna live your life without any conflicts?

Location: OC, California | | Go alpha in your work has its pros and cons a lot of which depends on where and what you do. Saying that going alpha or more being aggressive in the work place when it comes to advancing your career is a good thing in the long run as Ezo mention. Saying that when or if you do go alpha in the work place you need to be tack full in doing so as you can make enemies in doing so.

If he is very much an Alpha and likes to prove it ALOT then it's probably not such a good plan.
A piece of advice I was giving is getting noticed at a place of work for a good or bad reason in the long run is a good thing because you will always be a name that will be remember. Maybe just for the shitty jobs, but then on promotions and things aswell they may not remember why your name comes to mind good or bad.
Where as if you go submissive you can just turn into a grey man.
