I was just at my University's library with my tutor for my advanced Calculus course when this HB walks up and in a shy way asks if anyone is using a seat and if she can share the table. If I wasn't caught off guard and in the middle of being tutored I would have been sarcastic and said "No go away jokingly" or "Yes for $5" or something but instead I was my normal AFC self and said "sure no problem"

About 5 to 10 minutes pass and my tutor leaves and I didn't plan on engaging her since I was feeling shy myself and not in a mood to game so as I was leaving I said "table is all yours" and she asks me to help her connect to a printer.Since I'm Computer Science and do IT stuff on the side I said sure I'd take a look. We make small talk (what year and major ect.) and I make sure to smile and make eye contact and laugh about her computer problem.

She then gets up and leaves saying I can play with her computer. 5 minutes later she comes back and starts getting ready to leave saying it's no big deal ect. So I ask her I don't even know her name and she asked for my name and then she said well nice meeting you and walks away. I accidentally saw her e-mail address and remembered it (it was simple one) so if I wanted to contact her I could but it would be really creepy. Should I even bother?

What do you do in these sudden spur of the moment situations? I thought about giving her my e-mail saying contact me if she has further issues but didn't. I didn't bother to ask for her number since we only talked for like 3 minutes and she didn't seem interested ect + I didn't have much time to escalate or anything. I was caught off guard. Any tips on what I should of done for future instances?

I'm thinking of sending her an e-mail and being funny about it but how do I come across as not a stalker? I mean her email was right in front of me. I have nothing to loose. If I don't do anything I will never hear from her, if I send her an e-mail I probalby won't hear from her but at least there's a chance.

How should I write the message? I was thinking of something like:

Subject: You owe me

"Hey, we met yesterday at the library. I know this is totally stalker like because I don't really know you. I've never done this before but I was dared by a friend. I understand if you don't respond. I just couldn't help but notice we were both wearing the same shirts yesterday + the fact that I was not able to solve your computer problem. What are the odds of that. That just never happens as I solve most of my problems (computer or not). I actually could have fixed it if you had more patience :) By the way, did you ever figure it out? Just thought I'd say hey. "

PS: I forgot to mention I charge by the minute so you owe me $10 ;)

NO. If she didn't give it to you, you shouldn't know it. You are being a stalker.

NEXT TIME HAVE SOME BALLS. No chance with this girl.

Yeah but you never know. I just think its like the lottery. The odds are low either way but you can't win if you don't take a chance.

Reading your potential email makes me cringe almost as much as she would cringe reading it. Super, super creepy and stalkerish....you come off as weak and shy but at the same time demanding, which makes the overall impression just seem very contrived and sketchy.

Yeah, I can see that too. It was just a thought. So I guess I shouldn't even bother? Say she did give me her e-mail, just as a practice exercise, how should I have written it?

Too foreboding for a subject, doesn't make one even want to open this email. Much better off with something like "Hey its Jeremy :)" or something stupid and upbeat like that since she doesn't even know who the fuck this email address is.

You're basically telling her you're a stalker before she even comes to the conclusion herself, leaving you no escape from being judged as a stalker.

You've never done this before? what emailed a girl? Weak. Did it because you were dared by a friend, not your own volition? Even WEAKER!

As in, I feel like a loser, girls never respond to me, so I totally wont be surprised if you dont respond either. Can you imagine Brad Pitt or johnny depp saying this lame shit? If not then you probably shouldn't say it either.

You observed that you wore the same shirt. This is not evidence for why she should want to sleep with you. It might be material that could be used to launch a joke, which would make you look funny, and that might make her want to sleep with you...but you didnt use it that way.

Also, you just pointed out that you couldn't solver her problem. Makes you look weak in your area of expertise as well.

she doesn't know you. So far you have a 0% success rate with computers so she's probably assuming this is normal for you.

First you fail, then you brag about your skill, and then you blame her for why you failed. See the problem?

You hardly did say hey. thats what makes this email seem ironic. its more like you just bashing yourself, then bashing her!

she ain't laughing.

Ok, so...what should you have written? First of all, you're going to sound creepy no matter what, because you secretly took her contact info without her knowledge.

The only way to make it less creepy is to admit that you're somewhat love struck, and be open and honest about how you got her email...but you have to be cool and confident and not dissing yourself. If you were lucky enough to get a date from this position, you'd be in a very weak point...and would need to really blow her away with how fun, funny, cool and popular you are when you get to the date.

Bottom line, I don't think its worth the time.

Haha, thank's for the critique. I guess electronic messages don't come naturally to me yet. I probably won't send an e-mail, I might have if I got really strong IOI's from her then again I probably would have asked for her number if I did see those IOI's too but I didn't.

Oh well it was an interesting thought.
