I met this girl in October. She gave me her number. I texted her a bit kind of suck at it. Fast forward i was really busy and forgot about her.

In general what will you do to text a girl after a long pause ? not necessarily that long but let's say more than 1 month.

Just let it lose. It's time over for planning and calculating things. Just be yourself and text her what YOU want to say and NOT what people will tell you on FORUMS. Trust me do that enough times in conversation and texts and your confidence will boost like a rocket. You don't have to say or be anything special for a girl just be who you want be.

Seriously it is not this girl in particular just in general asking to the community what do they think is the best way to recontact a girl ? I have seen this nowhere and i have think it should be added to the guides and stuff.
I am absolutely not interested in changing myself completely.

I have used the first after 3 weeks of not talking, and the second after 2.5 months.

"Hey what's up" I thought that was too AFC because it's boring and generic and usually leads to a "not much, you?" response 90% of the time. Does it work for you?

Well I used it after 2.5 months so the conversation went

"Hey whats up"
HB "sorry who is this new phone"
"purplesmash"
HB "oh hey, how it going?"
"chillin just in class, what about you?"
after a delay of about an hour or two
HB "I think I just failed my test"

followed that thread for a bit, and then ended the conversation. She texted me a week later asking if I wanted to go to a party with her. I refused, said I already had plans, and asked her out 2 days later. She went out with me.

Basically you have to make the decision between something you know the girl will probably respond to like "I just saw your twin," or realize if the girl is still interested in you, she will respond if you simply reopen the lines of communication. The girl above I had already kissed and fingered but things fell off, so I knew there was at least some interest.
