For a lot of these really difficult questions that you get, the best way to answer them is with another question. Why? Because you are challenging them and laying the foundations for more conversation between the two of you.

Answering with a statement usually requires a follow up question regardless and it means that you are buying into her frame, whether your answer was witty or not. Shift the question back onto her and she finds herself suddenly feeling the need to justify herself to you.
