Yup happeneds to me all the time. I frequently go to alternative lifestyle clubs. And I'm attractive, I'm also very fashionable. The pacsun guy asked me on a date last week when I was shopping. And last night I went to the buckle to buy some jeans... well the group of guys who work there were at the club I went to. Which is mainly a gay club... well they were all sorts of exited to see me and my roommate. But hey I'll take the complement, I'm there for the bi chicks and girls who go because its "safe" and aren't threatened by the "gay guys". It's awesome to easily walk up to groups of hot girls and start dancing without any bitch shield... then tell them you're straight once they tell you how hot you are and how they wish you were straight! Surprise bitch! I like pussy! ;p

I am pretty sure OP was not asking do you get hit on by gays at gay bars because obviously you will be hit by gays in the gay br. OP was asking about "regular" places, in general so to speak :)

U look gay, that's why.

Gay men wont hit on good looking masculine looking men for fear of consequences (e.g., getting a beat down rather than feeling complimented). They will hit on guys who trip their gay-dar. In other words, they feel safe in approaching you because they're reasonably sure you're a fellow gay man.

Hey, you the expert here, not me... So if you think a tiara would be appropriate then by all means go for it.

Gay guys are just as shameless as any guy. They'll hit on whoever they please. Has nothing to do with gaydar.

They likely see you as non-threatening somehow though. Are you alone when this happens?

Yes, but make sure you buy it from the same store you got that purple dress and pumps from, I just simply adore those!

Shameless, maybe, willing to risk their lives? No. Too much cost in approaching a guy who is putting off a hetero vibe. If you've known any gay men before, you'd know this.

I've known a few gay men. Just don't associate "hetero" with "threatening", that's all. Straight men have just as much to fear hitting on women who might have a boyfriend.

I'd question a guy who got violent just by getting hit on. That screams insecurity.

There are plenty of straight guys who does not look gay, but also does not look threatening. They look like good people/nice guys - why would a gay dude be so afraid to try his luck on such a dude?
Of course I agree if you get hit a lot it means you have some gay vibe, but if you get hit one time in a year it can mean that dude just tried his luck on you.

Wow, you are definitely trying too hard... It's OK though, we'll just act as if it never happened since we are here to build each other up after all right?
