Ok so basically I was texting this girl hung out once as friends then I asked her on a date she said yes then flaked for a genuine reason and i fucked up completely with my responses and in the end ended up agreeing to become bestfriends with her her yes I know I'm a retard.

But I posted on here asking what I should do and I decided to do exactly what a bestfriend doesn't do I was very short and polite with our texts but then she kept texting me trying to get my attention which I wasn't giving her now I'm pretty sure she wants my attention so is it a good idea to ask her to the cinema again this weekend and hopefully she wants my attention so shel agree then when I'm out with her instead of being friends I go for the kiss close? If I do plan to do this should I continue to be short and polite with her and hardly text her?

Don't ignore her excessively or she might lose interest in you. But also don't become too clingy either. It's about maintaining balance. Take her to the movies, but wait until another time for the kiss close. However you do want to escalate it. And if the SPAM is comfortable and it permits, then go for the kiss close.
