Good Friend With Eating Disorder

I want to write a post on this because I'm not really sure if there's anything I can do to help. A girl that I'm very good friends with and I care a lot about her.. well she has a eating disorder. You would never be able to tell if you just met her, but she won't eat all day. I think the only time she eats is in the evening.

If there's anything I could do to help her I would, but I'm not sure what I can do. Does anyone know anything about this kind of situation? Any suggestions?

Probably want to ask on a different forum. I'm no doctor, but she needs to stop looking in the mirror and seeing a fat bitch. She's probably skinny AF.

Now convincing her that she isn't fat is the hard part.

This is very difficult situation to get advice for, especially on a forum like this. Most PUAs will tell you not to interfere in this b/c the situation is already problematic. If your already not confident in dealing with women, than I recommend you don't try and 'help' this girl unless she directly asks you for help.

Just my two cents, but I don't know shit.

She's normal size... You wouldn't know it. I just feel bad about what she does.. She needs to feel comfortable eating in front of people... Is there a cure for this??

I might get slapped for this, but bad eating habbits is not a disorder, it is stupidity.

You ask if there is a cure; knowledge of ones anatomy and how your body actually functions.

That is like saying that drug abuse is not a problem, you just stay away from drugs. Or that mental illness is not a disease, you just have to think better.

If you dont understand how the illness works and cannot comprehend how difficult it can be for some people to "just do it" it is difficult for you to give any kind of advice. Oversimplifying someones problem is not gonna help anyone, merely making them feel even worse.

Dont you think that obese people know that they need to eat less and work out more? Of course they do. It is not rocketscience! They just cant do it for a number of reasons, and most of them is in their heads.

I would recommend you taking your friend to a clinic specialized in eating disorders.
