a while ago i asked this and a couple of people said if she is wearing headphones (or earphones or whatever you want to call it) approaching is not possible.
I wanted to ask this again so maybe some new people could respond to see if that is the consensus.
so if she has earphones in her ears (listening to music or whatever) forget about her?

Yes, skip her, only because there's probably other women in the vicinity without headphones, thereby making them much easier targets. No reason to take the difficult path if the reward at the end is the same anyway.

I totally disagree. Depending on your personality there are various things you can do. Like I will literally come up to them. Stop them and start flirting via opener etc. It takes balls but everyone guy has balls so it shouldn't be a problem. Honestly I can see my self doing it based on my personality. It's possible to answer your question in short.

mr. confident,
how do you make sure you are heard? my biggest problem is, i keep thinking if she doesnt respond, do I assume she is choosing to ignore me and leave her alone, or do I assume she is not hearing me and try again?

I didn't say it was impossible, just that it's inconvenient. I am curious to know how you'd go about flirting with them when they have headphones on. It just seems like a pain in the ass to me with a huge chance of failure before you even begin.

If shes wearing headphones make a strong move to approach here from the front and make it obvious you want to talk to her. If she ignores you she doesn't want to talk to you, othewise she will take her headphones out. Simple really. I've done this many times and it always worked for me.

Yeah basically what he said. You wont be able to flirt with headphones on but if they take them off, you could treat it as an ioi and just open.

I don't mean to hijack or anything, but my question is very similar. I go to the gym all the time and see girls i'd like to approach but they usually have headphones in. Is this the same situation or are there different ways to start chatting these girls up?

Usually at the gym girls are busy working out they don't wanna be bothered. I don't sarge at the gym, I prefer to workout then sarge else where. When you go to the gym get serious. Maybe someone else can help you with this.
