how do i approach this? its daytime, shes walking towards me, about 20 meters away. do i make eye contact?

Make eye contact and give her a quick smile. Not a creepy, toothy smile, but try to smile with your eyes. After a few seconds, either look away (any direction except downward) or start a conversation with her.

But anyways the way to approach this girl is when your close enough to her to approach her. You can say something like "hey, you there " and then open "my name is so and so". The main thing is to approach strong. Have a strong body language because I see some guys approach like the girl is so kind of monster that will eat them. Just be confident and things will go smooth.

These are 90% of my approaches, I'm walking down the street to where ever and I see a hottie walking toward me. I usually smile, side step in front of them and stick out my hand.. Works 75% of the time.
