Hey guys! So I finally asked this girl I like "indirectly" that we should do something together - I had the help of a female friend who acted as my "wing-man".
Basically I met a German exchange student who moved into the student apartment block 2 weeks back (I will call her Sarah). I played pool with her on that night with doubles (2 people per team) which I've forgotten that I've played her since. We also chatted for more than an hour that night and my friends say I flirted.
So I met Sarah again on Sunday as she was walking out of the laundry and she smiled and we greeted each other. I later went to her apartment and we started talking...I suggested we should play pool sometime and she stated that "she would love to". She asked me for my facebook ID (whilst we both mentioned that our profiles are hard to find) and I got her number and she mentioned that it was "so kind of you to come visit me".
So I called her up on Valentines Day but she did not pick up or reply to the phone call even though I saw her in the afternoon but perhaps she did not notice me. Later that night my female friend uses my phone and texts her "Eyyy...what's happening??" which got her to finally reply to me the next day.
Here's our text convo while I was at work today. The whole time she did not know it was me.
@12:50am Me: Eyyy whats happening??
@11:15am Her: Hey Hows number is this?
@11:16am Me: Guess
@11:18am Her: Brad Pitt
@11:19am Me: Is this Angelina jolie?
@11:31am Her: I give up, how is this?
@11:39am Me: I'll give you a hint...Im hard to find on facebook and so are you xD
@1:55pm Her: I guess you are the person I played pool with when I first moved in. Is that right?
@2:05pm Me: No
@3:45pm Her: I think you should tell me how you are
So it turns out from the text convo that she would not have saved my number when I texted her "its me" after we met for the 2nd time on Sunday. Also when she says "How" she means "Who"
Her English is not all that good.
There was a party on today...she's there eating on a bench and a guy leaves, my female friend tells me to sit next to Sarah and start talking with her. I sit opposite and my female friend sits next to her. I later strike conversation with Sarah and my female friend plays along. Sarah asks first if I sent her the texts - I say no.
We had a great conversation, more than a hour after my friend left us alone. My friend said that she was interested in what I was saying since she was leaning forward.
Basically toward the end of the conversation, she mentions that she has to leave and I asked her whether she has my number. She says that she has my number but didn't put my name down so she does it. I then tell her that I'll text her my number 'just in case' which was simply:
"I think your pretty cool and want to know you better. When r u free??"
She reads that text and just starts laughing - she figures out that she was texting me the whole day. She mentions that "yeah yeah...we can do something" while laughing.
I tell her that I only said "I think your pretty cool" and nothing else while laughing myself. I suggest that we could play pool sometime or do something. She says "yeah we can play pool....once" with a smile on her face while she's looking toward the table. After a while we both leave while she mentions that she will let me know when she's free.
So guys...sorry for the long post
But advice please:
1) Did I screw up anywhere?
2) What do you think she meant by "we can play....once"
3) What should my next move be?
