Solid Post and some Good replies !

Alumni networks, young professional networks, wine clubs, debating clubs, even things like book clubs etc.. is a good way of expanding ones social circle. Being involved in a few of these helps you get ppl connected and in a way raises your own social value.

VIP Lounges, best of hotels, travelling through out the country to make or listen to presentations by some real noteworthy people, all of this becomes a reality with the lifestyle discribed in the OP and some of the replies. Others see value in being around you or even knowing you.

things is a bit diffrent around here(army is a must here befor any uni,college etc..so i'm 20 right now and will remain a soldier for one more year),but quite similar as a whole,we also have those,but not exectly like yours.

Are you trying to be ironic? Self appointing non-existing titles to make themselves feel better about non-favorable outcomes is the domain of losers. Did you tell them to F themselves and then find another GROUP to lead? What did you lead? Who did you lead?

It's quite comical to me that NO leader that I have known has ever self-appointed the 'leader'/'alpha' title to themselves while guys who've figured out how to bang a couple of chicks do this ALL THE TIME in this forum. I realize that this is an online forum, and perhaps some you are trying to be humorous, but for the sake of your own lives avoid this act of self mockery. It won't help you get anywhere.

To the rest:

If becoming a 'leader' is soooo important to you, first learn how to follow. Join a functional group. Learn to identify efficiencies as well as inefficiencies. Learn to work with difficult people through difficult projects. I mentioned earlier that a this is something that is 'accessible to all' but the catch is that VERY FEW people can do it. They'll face difficulty and they'll quit. Then they'll offer their personal excuses. "I am this and I am that and this guy was this and that guy was that . . ."

Regardless of excuses given, the end result is that the 'working group' progresses without you and you're back in your own room jacking off to your imaginations that you're some sort of a natural alpha guy.

ANYBODY can lead a group of happy, talented, and motivated people. However, how many groups have you seen where every member is happy, talented, and motivated? If you can learn to 'follow' in any given group, create alliances, motivate others, and carry projects forward regardless of weak leaderships, difficulty of projects, or individual relationships, you'll be able to lead just about any group out there. While no leader in the World does the "I am alpha and a leader" clown act, just about every leader in the World has multiple stories of lessons learned through working through difficult group dynamics. Do not let perceptions of difficulty skew you away from your goals. Do not whine. Do not advertise self mocking excuses.

Do:

1. Learn to advertise your abilities to a functioning group by demonstrating your abilities.

2. If you do not have any abilities, gain some.

3. Find your functional niche within a group. If that niche does not exist, create it. Demonstrate how that niche adds value to the group. (On the flip side, this is what talented leaders do all the time. If they identify a motivated talent, they do what they can to position him/her so that group can gain the most benefits through his/her abilities.

This is true, Kasabi, the whole point of the story was that i told them i am out! my inner personality for whatever reason told me " what are you doing here? you do not belong here, you do not have to do this.... However, why do you always insist in taking shots at people. My act of self mockery and self amusement has actually help me big time in biz, in the forum, and with women, you should try it sometimes... Actually if you want to get girls, that is one of the best qualities you could have, the problem is Kasabi, you have never tried it... But some guys like "sacha" the dudes of "simple pick up" and most of the rsd guys, do something similar, so we will agree to disagree... IMO, women hate guys that are always trying to nip pick, correct mistakes, and think they are the bible.... So for the sake of your own lives avoid this act of self righteousness... It won' t help you get anywhere...

dude i was trying to make a point, that i did not want to join a fraternity, i will clarify one more time, the reason i said i am alpha and a leader in the context of a fraternity is to convey the point that for some reason i could not take the pledging or whatever they call it, it was not on the context to impress you or kasabi or anybody else, the only person i try to impress is myself, but thanks for taking one stupid quote out of a major point, to try to put me down or whatever you are trying to do...and who the fuck are you? another Kasabi wanna be, at least kasabi is original... It's absurd that a man who claims to know a little about business would say such a thing. Please point me to one business resource that claims self mockery + self amusement leads to success. If you want to witness self mockery + self amusement at its finest, I suggest you take a field trip to a mental institution. The only thing that those inmates know is "self mockery" + "self amusement". On the other hand, the most accomplished business people achieve success through an acute awareness of their environment. They are highly sensitive to the needs and desires of their clients, co-workers, and their competition. They know how to progress their own endeavors through awareness, NOT ignorance.

Correct and incorrect. Women are not fans of being corrected by self-appointed alpha leader clown monkeys. They are on the other hand, HUGE fans of being corrected and advised by those they actually believe have knowledge, experience, and the connections to improve their lives.

Summing up, this is a thread that began with a message to increase one's network, not decrease it. The initial message urges people to be more aware of themselves and those around them, not decrease awareness. Whether you're seeking to borrow somebody's couch for a night or asking somebody for a job or looking to be included into a rock and roll party, the idea is to be acutely aware of your social surroundings, not block it out, call yourself some 'leader alpha circus monkey', and amuse yourself. (This is not a good strategy to increase one's network)

How you define 'rockstar' is up to you. However, what the author of that message achieved is far from dumb luck. He provided others with a benefit and in return, received benefits of his own. He had a skill set to offer them and they had resources to share. He had the ability demonstrate and sell a win-win situation.

If you want to wait until you make a ton of money to travel to fun parts of the World, meet unique people, and have a blast, that is up to you. The point of the initial message is that many have the ability to achieve all of these things here and now. The biggest excuse I hear from younger people for not traveling and exploring the World is "I don't have the money." - Whether you join the excuse gang or the resourceful gang is entirely up to you.

What do you think of Simple PickUp. Personally, I think they are dope. They use sarcastic self mockery which I think is fine. It's not the only thing they use to pick up chicks, but it's A thing.

Self Mockery:

There is a difference between self-mockery as a tool for humor and self-mockery as a demonstration for one's shortcomings. The former is a way to create connections whereas the latter is a way to create gaps.

Oh how I wish I could understand half of the stuff you say. Could you dumb it down please?
