So Friday night I met up with a buddy from college that I don't get to see often enough. Four of us went to a bar together, actually, and we were all roommates for the last couple years of school. I don't need all of my friends to be into pickup, but we just aren't into the same type of scene anymore. I like clubs, I like the crowds, loud music, and opportunity to meet new people. They wanted to hang out in poolhalls where the odor of cigarettes was pungent. They love it, I don't. At the first bar I left them after an hour to talk to a few girls, then we went to another bar and I left after maybe thirty minutes to go to a club.

My friends were all upset. They wanted me to stay, and don't get me wrong it was great seeing them. I had my struggles, we all have, but I have tried more and more to commit myself to learning this shit. But I guess I'm just looking for a basic piece of advice: is it wrong that I want to put my learning ahead of other things?

I don't think so to an extent. But, you can't ditch your friends just because you don't see eye to eye. Make sure you save some time for your buddies, because they are important and will always be there for you, whereas girls will not.
