Lacking energy and social skills

I have a few problems, tips would be awesome thanks

1. Lacking energy: I typically feel tired and lazy without any energy to go out of the house. Specially after work I feel too exhausted to do anything other then chill at home.

2. I have hard time being social/fun. I cannot seem to carry on a conversation for a long time. Same problem I have when talking over the phone to chicks...they would say "tell me something" and I would draw a blank or start being boring. I am also pretty stupid and cannot seem to remember things or be witty.

Ok, first of all, you are not stupid man! Its all in the mind, first you have to change your beliefs and this will change your whole attitude. You will suddenly become more social and you will feel like a boss. So, I recommend reading The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle, so you stop the negative thinking and become much more relaxed, thus getting in a social energy. Then, to strike conversation you can come up with situational openers or even say canned material when you ran out of things to say. I was pretty much in your same situation and I have progressed a lot. You can do this bro. It is really a big step for you to want to improve. Keep it up!

When I felt like that this was my life. I was sleeping too much, I didn't work out, I didn't have any hobbies, or did anything active for that matter. I was pretty much watching tv shows all day if my exams were 3 months away. I was fat, miserable and depressed. Only place where I felt comfortable was my room.

Does this sound familiar?

lexcartney might be right. But I wont recommend you a book. I say get outside of your house and go, say ice skating. It will do you more good than a book.
