Greetings,

I'm AFC Roach, 27 years old and living in The Netherlands (Europe). Have read The Game about a half year ago, twice, and it blew my mind. Never imagined it's actually possible to learn how to deal with girls. I always thought you either have 'it' and be happy or you don't have 'it' and you will be miserable and alone. Since then I have been reading all I could find on pickup and self-improvement.

The past
When I was a kid I was told (drilled!) into believing I couldn't be social and there are 1001 things wrong with me. I was told it's better to just accept it and not to try to fight it. Later in my life I became depressed and locked myself into my house smoking weed and playing video games all day for like 5 years.

My experience with girls is very limited. I'm pretty much ashamed of admitting it to myself let alone writing it down on a public forum. I have never had a girlfriend, not even kissed with a girl once. I did however visit hookers to get rid of virginity and have at least some female contact.

The Goal
My goals are to drastically change my life in every form possible. My goals are to be more healthy, start my own business, earn my own money and to become a social person. And let's not forget, I want girls. I want lots of girls. I want to change myself and become a PUA.

Proving myself
I want to prove to MYSELF and the whole world that I can do whatever I desire and that I AM NOT LIMITED! If I can be a PUA and pick up girls I can do everything. If I can do this I can also become a millionaire, a nobel price winner, an astronaut, a movie star, a general or a king. Because all of these things appear easier for me then to become a PUA.

I'm going to change my life, fix the damage, and become a successful human being. I'm going to fight and fight hard to change my life. I will succeed or I will try until I drop dead from exhaustion. And even then I will fight!

My biggest challenges to overcome
My biggest enemy is myself
- Low self-esteem and no self-love
- Not much social experience in general
- Have tendency to become depressed
- Scared of people in general

My biggest advantages
When I really go for something, I'm unbeatable
- I´m intelligent and know how to use it
- I have all the time in the world
- I'm independent and do not conform
- I'm strong and motivated

Funny thing is, right after I decided I had to change my life I stumbled across the book The Game.

What have I already done in the last half year?
- I quit smoking after smoking for about 15-16 years.
- I don't drink or use drugs anymore.
- I started sporting every day to build up routine and to get healthy.
- I got new cloths to not look like some homeless guy anymore.
- I cook every day fresh and healthy food.
- I work on starting my own business(es).
- I have become more positive in general.
- I finally have a goal to accomplish.

Thanks,
AFC Roach

Good-luck,

Can I recommend you try joining a local activity or some sort in order to increase your social circle and get you comfortable around women?

I'm back in the game after 4 years and it's one of things I'm doing.

Not sure if your employed or not, but it maybe worth getting a job even if you plan to start your own business to give you more disposable income and for the reasons mentioned above - I too currently run a business which makes me financially secure however it does mean I'm stuck inside by myself all day so I'm also looking for a job for those reasons.

Good-luck just make sure you take action,

Sam

Roach, a very warm welcome. You sound really determined to change your life, that's really inspiring. I know it can be done and you sound like you have a very good plan.
Maybe you can start your own journal here, I'm sure many guys in a similar position would find a lot of motivation and inspiration reading it. And it's a way to track your progress. I'm sure you'll get a lot of input from more experienced guys.
Good luck and don't give up!

@sticks11
I'm planning to do volunteer work involving either helping animals or people in order to increase my social circle and feel better about myself. I'm poor but money isn't an issue for me, so doing volunteer work will help in accomplishing my goals while still having plenty of time.

Now that I'm thinking about it, trying to collect donations for charity on the street might be a good way to get rid of Approach Anxiety.

@Txacoli
Thanks! Inspired by AFC Daniel's journal I'm thinking about making my own.
