So yeah...I was texting a girl earlier this evening and it went like this.

Me: Tell me a story

Her: Not in the mood...

Me: What's wrong?

Her: Ugh...you aren't the one to get into that with...

I ended just not texting her back. From my past experience, I played this game before where I got the girl to tell me what's wrong only to make her think of me as her best friend. In a desperate attempt to not repeat the same thing, I choose to not text her back (since I had no clue what to say at that point).

Did I make the right move? I felt I made a better move but I sound so heartless just not caring about her problems.

Good call in this case.

However i believe you shouldnt stay away from that entirely. If a girl was polite and seemed genuinely sad, who gives a fuck just give her someone to talk to. Listen to her and then make her feel better.

But this chick is arrogant, "not in the mood." I would have replied "okay," and put her at the bottom of my list for that.

Some people are just histrionic, you r gonna get laid but they will chew your ears out first until even your dick is numb.

She shut you out right from the get-go, best to just not react and pick things up with her another day. Good call.
