Firstly is it possible to change rank within a group of friends where the rank was decided when we were younger and very different people.....
At uni i am quite Alpha due to game and going in knowing i could re-invent myself but around my group of friends at home i really struggle to have that value within the group.
Also despite being Alpha at uni that more because of my social skills rather than my ability to lead.....
Lastly i find maintaining my social rank at uni alot of effort i feel pressure when i go out to perform the way i did the night before.... Do i need to change my way of thinking or does this become easier once it's internalised deeper?

It becomes easier and easier. I suggest you stop living in your head so much. If it does bother you(having to 'perform'), just write down what you did to make it a successful night and play around next time. Keep a PUA journal! You will read about your successes and can either improve or delete things that did not go your way

It really isn't mandatory to be the group leader in order to get girls. You'll have to be the best ladies man in order to get girls. Boys will respect you once you show them your skills with girls so you'll gain respectability within your group.
