So before the question, a little background, and I hope this is the right spot to post this!

So long ago, and not so far away, I was on a quest to find a soul-mate. I was young and crazy... And a geek....

I figured it was an odds game. The more girls I dated, the better chance of finding one that I would really want to be with in the long haul. My biggest problem, I was an organizational misfit. Keeping things like names, dates, facts and whatnot straight was killing me.

So I built this little application to help me out. It was simple and purpose built to let me log everything, and call it back up when I needed a refresher. And it was, shall we say, nothing I'd ever want a chick I was dating to see....

...because it contained a profile on every girl I dated with a complete ranking system. Everything.. Tits, ass, legs, brain, everything had a 1-10 ranking. Plus it has a way to log "factoids" about the girls I dated, and every night after the date I would religiously log every little thing I could remember, so that the next time I went out with her, after reviewing the dot-matrix printout, I could wow her by parroting back things like: "Is your mom feeling better?", "How did that psyche exam go?", etc... To show I **really** cared...

It also had a log for every date, were we went, how much was spent, and how far I got... think bases here... This enabled me to cross reference overall bang value, and overall bucks spent, to get a bang for buck ratio. This was the tie-breaker for scheduling conflicts.

Anyway, that was over a decade ago. The program is long gone, gone the way of the dot-matrix printer.

I am a software engineer now, with the ability to develop and deploy android apps. Been thinking I might bring back the "Date-A-Base" as an android application. This would be so much more powerful than the original, seeing as it could be portable, taken anywhere, and used in "the field".

So on to the question!

When I build this thing, having now found this awesome group of people here who have taken the concept of picking up women to an astronomical new level, I figure what better group of people to ask about what features y'all think would be a good addition to a program like this!

And this is not an advertisement! I would give this shit away to you guys, the true vanguards of the modern day Casanova.

I had a few ideas:

1) All the old capabilities to start.
2) A way to access the same data from both a phone and a web site.
3) Perhaps a "Wingman Finder", GPS enabled, so if you're travelling and want to sarge with like-minded PUAs, you can see if there are any who have made themselves available.

If anyone thinks this is worthwhile, or has other ideas for what it could be made to do, particularly for the PUA community, let me know!

Dude, it would HAVE be password protected! Plus perhaps a panic button, or action when the phone is shaken to replace whatever is being shown with some harmless screen or nondescript message. You would NEVER want this to be seen by a date or potential. EVER!

And the app name would be something nondescript as well. Maybe, um "Aeron"

So another thought.

So you close a chick, end up dating her, and discover she's a stark raving lunatic, psycho crazy train-wreck.

Perhaps you can go into the app and log a warning report on her (using her phone number), so the next unfortunate PUA who number closes her can get a heads-up on the situation when he logs his stuff later on.

This could be made so that the PUA who logs the original report stays anonymous if he so chooses.

The only downsides I can see is if a chick gets another chicks number somehow, or shares a home number with another chick... Or one PUA's trash is another's treasure...

Dunno, just spitballing here.

I would make the app have a fake cover so when you download it it will show up as like "Database" and have like a stock chart pic so that girls wont open it if they are using ur phone...

A stock chart pic makes a lot of sense given that the app will be reducing every female contact to rankings made by the user.

So something like a journal, right? My old Date-A-Base did track how far I got on every given date with every girl, so that's one part of the equation.

While my old app used to track the money spent, perhaps this app could track the approaches and techniques used. Some tactics work better for some PUAs than others. This would be a way to log and see which ones work best for you!

I don't really think it's the right place for actual field reports, forums like this work best for that. But over time, when people post their field reports here, they can include information like: "And this technique has a 78% success rate for me", because the app would have tracked each technique and the result.

Furthermore, given enough time and data, there could be more demographic information posted, like:

Technique A has an overall 75% K-Close success rate in Miami, but only 57% in the Detroit Metropolitan area.

Very interesting food for thought!

Exactly! Raw statistics. With the stats data points being things like what you closed, what technique(s) or pattern(s) used, and possibly a GPS hit for demographics.

The demographics thing is valuable, I think, because different areas have different embedded cultural factors that may affect the close rate on some techniques.

Plus, this would be the mother of all belt-notch tracking apps.

I am thinking we might want this app to be found on a "by referral only" basis to keep the general population from having access to it. Trying to work out how that might work, but it seems essential it should be a very closed system.

I think that's a little dangerous, may even be potential invasion of privacy stuff involved, slander and libel are also possibilities which could get you sued.
and it would only take one reporter to go "an app that warns people to not date you, have you been red flagged? find out tonight." and then every chick will know in a matter of hours

sharing of information should be limited, maybe statistics on things like what you say in the next quote, and recommendations from other nearby PUA's about good spots (say name of place {Carals coffee } - type of place {coffee shop} -girl type majority{cute bookish/shy} - pros {relaxed SPAM} -cons {very expensive drinks}- most effective technique {what ever stats show}) then link that to a map of the area

as for keeping the app in a closed system that is a must, no idea how to help you though

also no need for a password, just make a start screen that is very non-discript.
say the actual start screen is "downloading updates" with a load bar that stops at a 3/4ths of the yay full with a big "Cancel" button underneath. the way to get to the next screen would be to tap on the white part of the progress bar, which would actually be a secret button

i saw that in your date-a-base you have to religiously write down every thing.

maybe on the app you create a template like for what happened, for example;

Sexual relations:
Kiss Bj eatout sex other

time of the day:
1pm 2pm ........

type of date:
Dinner movie walk other

and when you tap or click the other it will pull up a keyboard for you to input your own note. then at the end just before you submit it have like a additional note section.

something like that

In my experience, projects like this can grow out of control as far as feature list WAY too fast. So I am going to try and pare down the features to the most desired so that getting it out the door will be more expedient.

And although I have written some applications for personal use on the Android and installed them myself, I need to dig a bit deeper to figure out the best way to make an app available to users outside the android market. I really would prefer to keep it out of the market if possible to control the user population and keep it under the radar.

If it ever goes on the market, I might put it out as a simple shopping list app or something, with a "magic" sequence of user input that can open up the underlying application. If it's not gonna end up going against the Android Market terms that is.

Anyway, trying to shape up the core 1st release essentials:

1) Enter personal overall preference ratios (importance of each measure, 1-10)
--Height
--Build
--Boobs
--Ass
--Legs
--Face
--Personality

2) Enter chick contact details
--Name
--Phone
--Est. Height + Personal 1-10 Score
--Build (thin, average, chubby, big, whale, etc..) + Personal 1-10 Score
--Boobs (AA-A, B, C, D, E(DD), F(DDD), G, HUGE) + Personal 1-10 Score
--Ass (flat, round, big) + Personal 1-10 Score
--Legs - Personal 1-10 Score
--Face - Personal 1-10 Score
--Personality - Personal 1-10 Score

3) Enter "date" logs, including first meet, including optional entries for:
--Where went (or met)
--Techniques (if any) used (predefined list, or free text, or what?)
--Money spent
--Goals achieved (k-close, bj, etc (need help on this list))
--Factoids (misc facts to log and parrot back later for that *I Care* effect)

4) Enter call logs for a chick:
--Who called who
--Date/Time of call
--Add to factoids

5) Peruse your contacts sorted by:
--Overall Score
--Last Contact (date or call)
--Bang4Buck (overall average money spent / overall cumulative goals achieved)

6) View your close rates (including totals, notch-board) by:
--Time periods (trending up or down)
--Locations


So this is a prelim list. I may pare it down a bit, but I am keeping track of other features requested for future releases.
