hey guys,
Thinking we should have a good solid thread on meeting girls at the gym. I'm at the gym every other day and always see attractive girls I'd like to meet. What I usually do is if they have head phones on say "excuse me, do those things work?" as I point to their headphones, "because every time I'm at the gym girls come up and wanna talk to me" and play off of that or I'll just go direct like "hey, do you work out here a lot" so they don't think it's a pick up at first, and then I'll go, "oh cool, yeah I just wanted to meet you, I'm Andrew", that's works ok.

Do you guys have any good ideas around this? I'd love to have a couple more tricks up the sleeve and to eventually start going to the gym with these chicks and then some..

guy i just came from the gym and was wondering about this for a week before today... first time i went to gym today with a friend who is a girl , because my brolic ass spotting buddy flaked... so i was doing some cardio with this girl shes like damn Andrew u got some muscles (yeah my name is also Andrew and ive been working out lately)... at the same moment there is like 4 girls on elliptical behind me who do that little group giggle. I turn around and just smile back at them.. once i get off i walk up to them and just chatted them up asking them some bullshit about what my friend should do for her butt blah blah.. said they should give me their numbers in case my friend has more workout questions... baaaam..... lol best way to get girls in the gym bring another girl with... well at least for me

I stay away from picking girls up at my gym. My gym is small and the crowd doesn't change much. Now, when I was in college I did it all the time.

I'd go in there and do my walk around. I'd spy a girl or two that I would target. They'd normally be on the cardio equipment so I'd have to wait for them to get off and hit the weights. When this happened I'd time it so when she was done with her set and getting up from the machine I'd be walking by. My most successful method was the direct method. I'd look her dead in the eyes with a smile on my face and say, "No wonder you have such a nice body... that's more weight then some of the guys do in here". They would respond one of two ways.

Either they'd laugh and say, "I'm only doing 15lbs" or "thanks". If they responded by saying thanks I'd reply, "Oh no I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you blush." Slap them on the arm playfully while smiling and then introduce myself. They don't know if they were blushing or no so it doesn't matter if they actually did. Then I'd just start into a normal convo.

Or they answered by saying, "I'm only doing 15lbs". I'd just respond, "yea I know.. I just wanted to make you feel good about yourself." I'd give them a smirk and introduce myself while shaking their hand. Then off into a conversation.

It didn't matter if they had headphones on or not. When you start talking to them they'll take them off. Or just signal to them to take them out of their ears. Either way. This method actually worked very well for me.
