I might get totally shot down here, I'm asking a lot but here goes.

I'm a linguistics student writing a paper almost down to the deadline on storytelling in everyday conversation. I've been struggling for months to think of a group interesting enough to write about and it just came to me today, PUAs!

As part of your social control, to an extent you use stories masterfully to guide ideas, thought processes and project certain images of yourself as well as your wingmen which would make for an amazing paper.

I would like to give you my Dictaphone, and ask that you record a couple of hours of your working, though I can't offer you anything apart from a copy of the paper and citing you in my work. Can travel to anywhere in london and will be out of your hair until I pick it up again.

Is anyone willing to help?

I think a PUA isnt the best way to go. If its stories your after the best people to find are Magicians... they talk crap about how osmosis can melt playing cards or how you can tear one and it comes back restored due to the ozone and all that stuff.

I used to work close-up magic and it requires a lot of "storytelling" to try and get people believing what your doing is science and not some kind slight of hand you spend 4days practicing

Try MagicBunny forums they have tons of people working out of London... If you are after a PUA then there might be a few on here but it's personal preference if they will let you record 2 hours of material for fear of being copied or whatever.

Actually what I need is a very specific type of storytelling which only occurs in normal conversation. I can't stage anything and I can't ask any questions!
